You can use the app to easily measure the connection speed of your smartphone or tablet at different locations within the Wi-Fi network. The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi also helps you to connect mobile terminal devices with wireless routers, and to find the ideal position for your extender. It simplifies access to your Wi-Fi guest network for guests.

With the FRITZ!App Wi-Fi it is especially convenient to connect your Android smartphone or tablet with the FRITZ!Box. Thanks to the scannable QR code or the WPS function there is no need to type in long Wi-Fi passwords or search for the right Wi-Fi network.
The most important information on your Wi-Fi network
The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi for Android lists all Wi-Fi networks detected and shows many parameters like the encryption and Wi-Fi channel used and the signal strength. The app further offers a quick overview of the most important parameters of its own connection: the IP address used, frequency bands supported, and the current transmission rate.
Wi-Fi level display and connection test
The level display of the FRITZ!App Wi-Fi shows the current Wi-Fi reception in real time. So you can see directly on your smartphone how good the connection is at this spot and optimize your Wi-Fi network if necessary. The stability of the connection can be investigated separately using the Wi-Fi test mode of the FRITZ!App.
Find the ideal spot for your extender
With FRITZ!App Wi-Fi finding the ideal location for your extender is super easy. Connect the extender to the FRITZ!Box and carry out a measurement of the Wi-Fi with the app. The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi will then inform you whether or not the location can still be improved.
Wi-Fi access for your guests
The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi allows you to generate a QR code that your guests can scan to get access to your internet. Alternatively, the app also displays the network key.
